Discover the timeless game of Mah Jongg!

Whether you’re brand-new or looking to strengthen your beginner skills, this four-week course offers a clear, engaging introduction to American Mah Jongg using National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules. You’ll build the essential knowledge and confidence needed to enjoy this rewarding and social game.

Throughout the course, you will:

  1. Explore the history and cultural significance of Mah Jongg.

  2. Learn the structure of the game, including tiles, suits, and how to read the NMJL Mah Jongg card.

  3. Understand the core rules and foundational strategies for American Mah Jongg following official NMJL guidelines.

  4. Practice real gameplay in a supportive, hands-on environment.

  5. Strengthen your critical thinking, pattern recognition, and strategic decision-making.

Your 2025 NMJL Mah Jongg card is included in the class fee.

Each session blends brief instruction with guided practice and group play, giving you both the “how” and the “why” behind the game.

By the end of the four weeks, you’ll feel comfortable playing Mah Jongg and ready to enjoy the fun, challenge, and community that come with it!

Please note: Space is limited and your seat in the course is not confirmed until payment is received. Additionally, payment must be received at least seven days prior to the start of the course by Noon EST on the seventh day.
